Captain Kirk's Log
When I was meditating on a less-than-stellar test result in my Networking and Cyber Sec college program, I asked myself "Is sitting behind a desk for 10 hours a day looking at WireShark packets what I want to be doing with myself?". I answered "No". Then I asked myself "Alright; I'm not doing that. So what will I do?". My answer was "Instead of playing games why not learn how to build them?".
That answer back in 2018 paved the way for my discovery and learning of game development. From hours of after-school personal learning, courses from the Indie Game Academy, GameDev.tv, Zenva Academy, and YouTube I went from the surface-level knowledge of games I had as a player to unlocking the "secrets", passion, and challenges of the beautiful creative endeavor that is Game Development.

With four built games under my belt, a collection of game projects in my cloud drives, and determination to keep on making games I'm looking forward to "living to create" and creating to make my living. Through Game Dev, my 3D Printing ventures and beyond!
My Tricks of the Trade
Unity Programming
Through my experience making the games I have and working with teams as a programmer I've learned good system design principles, the importance of consistent communication, and adaptability in the design of game systems.

Level Design
In Blaster Boring and RoStation, my teams and I considered how our game progression through the introduction of new levels and waves would function in our games.
Asynchronous Teamwork
With the help of Discord and connections I've made in it, I've been able to effectively schedule calls, share information and provide resources to my teams even when they were in different time zones.
